Christmas & New Year 2016

Log fires… festive fare… good cheer. The spirit of Christmas and the Blue Vinny go together like… well, Santa Claus and Rudolph; Christmas pud and brandy butter; or our mouth-watering menus and our terrific atmosphere.

As the great Elvis said: it’ll be a blue, blue Christmas without you, but a real Blue Vinny one with you.

Our Christmas menu will be available from 1st December until 24th December and must be booked in advance. Reservations are being taken now, so book soon to avoid disappointment!

Leek, potato & Blue vinny soup, crusty bread*

Dorset crab cakes, charred lime, coriander aioli

Potted Game, sourdough toast, apple & pomegranate*

Wild mushroom tart, rocket, truffle oil

King prawns baked with lime, chilli & garlic butter, ciabatta dipping croutes*

Main courses

Traditional roast Blandford turkey with lemon and sage butter, orange & cranberry stuffing, pigs in blankets, bread sauce, roast potatoes and winter vegetables*

Venison haunch steak, celeriac dauphinoise, braised red cabbage, Port soaked prunes*

Rump of lamb, squash puree, fondant potato, devilled sauce*

Hake fillet, mash, parsley sauce, crispy deep-fried cockles & capers*

Roasted winter vegetable, red onion & pistachio galette with Rosary goats’ cheese

All main courses served with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Desserts

Sticky toffee pudding, toffee sauce, vanilla ice cream
