Log fires… festive fare… good cheer. The spirit of Christmas and the Blue Vinny go together like… well, Santa Claus and Rudolph; Christmas pud and brandy butter; or our mouth-watering menus and our terrific atmosphere.

As the great Elvis said: it’ll be a blue, blue Christmas without you, but a real Blue Vinny one with you.

Our Christmas menu will be available from 1st December until 24th December and must be booked in advance. Reservations are being taken now, so book soon to avoid disappointment!

Starters

Roasted parsnip & apple soup, with parsnip crisps and crème fraiche

Ilsington estate pheasant terrine, cranberry relish and toasted sweet onion bread

Tickler mature cheddar cheese & leek tartlet, seasonal leaf salad and a slow roasted tomato dressing

Portland crab coleslaw & smoked salmon parcel, lambs leaf & pink grapefruit salad, citrus dressing

Main courses

Traditional roast Blandford turkey, pigs in blankets, cranberry sauce and stuffing

Baked salmon in puff pastry, with a creamed leek & potato gratin

Roast rib-eye steak, crusted with Blue Vinny cheese on a wild forest mushroom & thyme ragout

Roast Butternut squash risotto, topped with Dolcelatte cheese and sage oil

All main courses excluding the risotto come with seasonal vegetables and roast potatoes

Desserts

Christmas pudding with brandy & star anise sauce

Vanilla panna cotta with a mulled wine winter berry compote

Rich chocolate tart, Craig’s farm double cream ice cream

Blue Vinny cheese, served with cranberry relish and biscuits
